Creating and managing products and private brands.
Our 27 years of experience in the apparel business, it provided an opportunity to develop Men's core styles.
Led by menswear industry veteran John Crocco (former head of merchandising and design for Izod, Creative Director for Perry Ellis, and head of product development for J. Crew), NEJ’s Private Brands Division is charged with developing quality products in desirable categories at a value price.

The return of an American legend.
The original founder of Bills Khakis in 1990 built his business on a pair of vintage WWII khakis he found at an Army surplus store. Ed Mascolo, founder of NEJ, also started his business in 1990 from his garage. His passion to pursue the American dream of growing an entrepreneurial business aligned well with Bills Khakis roots and commitment to American-made.
Bills Khakis faced the possibility of closing and potentially selling the brand to parties that would have changed the path for the future and leave behind the heritage of the brand. Ed felt differently and made a commitment to save the brand and make the necessary investment to bring it back to it's iconic stature.
Bills Khakis remains an American Khaki Supply Company, led by menswear industry veteran John Crocco (former Head of Merchandising and Design for Izod, Creative Director for Perry Ellis, and Head of Product Development for J. Crew). All our products are cut and sewn in American factories, sold via specialty menswear stores in towns and cities across the country, and through our own direct-to-consumer website, www.billskhakis.com.
The return of an American legend.
At heart, it’s a story about reverse logistics: The founder of Bill’s Khakis built his business on a pair of old khakis he found at an Army surplus store. NEJ is bringing back this iconic American brand.
